Day 1
Welcome to Delhi (By International Flight)
On arrival at DELHI Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal 3), following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, as you exit the arrival terminal building, you will be welcomed by India Tours & Travels executive holding a placard in your name to greet you. After that, you will be assisted with a transfer to your hotel and check-in.
Delhi, India’s capital territory, is also known for its people with happy hearts and dynamic nature. Delhi is a city where ancient and modern blend seamlessly together and stands as one of the fastest developing cities in the world. The thriving cosmopolitan metro has a long history of empire successions from Delhi Sultanate to Mughals to British and still is the political capital of the nation.

Day 2
Train to Kalka and drive to Shimla
Train till Kalka: Departure Delhi at 0740hrs / Arrival Kalka at 1140hrs or similar.
Early in the morning, as per the above-mentioned train schedule, you will be assisted with a departure transfer to Delhi railway station to board the train to Kalka. This scenic train ride offers a glimpse into India's diverse landscapes, transitioning from the bustling capital to the lush foothills of Himachal Pradesh. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast onboard while the train winds its way through the countryside. Upon arrival in Kalka, you will be greeted by your Chauffeur and embark on a picturesque drive to Shimla (Approx 02 to 03 hrs. drive). The route unfolds like a storybook, with stunning mountain vistas, deep valleys, and charming hill towns along the way. As you ascend, the air grows crisper, and pine-covered slopes welcome you to the "Queen of Hills." Upon reaching Shimla, check into your hotel and spend rest of the day at leisure. Day 3
Shimla
After breakfast, step into the colonial past of Shimla, once the grand summer retreat of British India. Begin your sightseeing at The Ridge, a lively cultural hub offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Stroll along the famous Mall Road, where every corner echoes history. Pause at Scandal Point, a spot steeped in legend—named after the dramatic tale of the Maharaja of Patiala eloping with the Viceroy’s daughter. Next, visit the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, housed in the magnificent Viceregal Lodge (built between 1884 and 1888), where echoes of British imperial decisions still linger. Drive to Sarahan
After breakfast, bid farewell to Shimla as you embark on a scenic drive towards Sarahan (Approx. 05 to 06 hrs. drive), a charming Himalayan hamlet known as the Gateway to Kinnaur. The journey unfolds through winding mountain roads, dense pine forests, and quaint villages, offering spectacular views of the mighty Shivalik and Dhauladhar ranges. As you ascend towards Sarahan, witness the landscape transition into rugged, deep valleys, with terraced fields and cedar forests painting a mesmerizing picture. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take in the panoramic views of the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak, which dominates the skyline. Day 5
Drive to Kalpa visiting Reckong Peo Buddhist Monastery enroute
Wake up to the tranquil beauty of Sarahan, with the mighty Shrikhand Mahadev Peak standing tall in the distance. After an early breakfast, set off on a breathtaking drive towards Kalpa (Approx. 04 to 05 hrs. drive), a serene Himalayan village nestled in the Kinnaur Valley. The journey winds through spectacular mountain landscapes, following the course of the Sutlej River, with deep gorges and lush pine forests enhancing the scenery. En route, stop at Reckong Peo, to visit this peaceful Buddhist monastery, set against a stunning backdrop of snow-capped peaks. Continue your ascent to Kalpa, one of the most scenic villages in Himachal Pradesh. Upon arrival, check into your guesthouse/local homestay and take in the breathtaking views of the Kinner Kailash Range, whose snow-covered peaks are known to change colours throughout the day. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through Kalpa Village, known for its charming wooden houses, monasteries, and panoramic viewpoints. Day 6
Travel to Tabo via Nako
Wake up to the crisp mountain air of Kalpa and enjoy an early breakfast before setting out on an exhilarating drive towards Tabo (Approx. 07 to 08 hrs. drive), deep in the heart of Spiti Valley. The journey unfolds through breathtaking landscapes of rugged cliffs, winding mountain roads, and the ever-present Sutlej River, offering a glimpse into the raw beauty of this remote Himalayan region. A short drive of 50-60 km from Kalpa brings you to Puh, a small yet scenic village overlooking the deep valleys below. Known for its Tibetan influence, Puh offers a serene setting with Mani walls lined with prayer wheels and fluttering prayer flags. Take a peaceful walk through the village, visiting New Monastery & Old Gompa – Experience the spiritual energy of this hidden gem, with its intricate Buddhist murals and traditional architecture. After exploring Puh, return to the main route and stop for lunch en route, where you can enjoy a meal amidst the high-altitude surroundings. Continuing the journey, arrive at Nako Village (Approx. 3662 m), a stunning hamlet nestled in the high-altitude desert. The village is an important spiritual center with deep Tibetan Buddhist influences. Day 7
Full day visit Tabo
After breakfast, begin your day in Tabo, the spiritual heart of Spiti, with a visit to the revered Tabo Chos-Khor Monastery, a monastic complex dating back to 1000 AD, founded under the guidance of Lotsava Rinchen Zangpo. Known as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas,” the monastery houses nine temples adorned with exquisite murals, frescoes, and stucco sculptures, reflecting a blend of Indo-Tibetan artistry. Once a flourishing centre for Buddhist learning, Tabo remains a place of deep spiritual significance. Day 8
Drive to Kaza visiting Dhankar and Lhalung monasteries enroute
Today after breakfast, depart from Tabo and set out on a mesmerizing drive toward Kaza (Approx. 05 to 06 hrs. drive), visiting the Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliffside, offering stunning panoramic views of the Spiti and Pin River confluence. Once the royal capital of Spiti, Dhankar also houses the remnants of an ancient fort, whispering tales of the region’s past. Continue the journey to Lhalung Monastery, a sacred site believed to be founded by Lotsava Rinchen Zangpo, known for its golden-hued deities, vibrant murals, and deep spiritual significance. As the rugged landscapes of Spiti unfold before you, the drive finally leads to Kaza, the valley’s vibrant hub, where you’ll check in to your hotel and relax for the night.

Day 9
Full-Day Excursion to Key Monastery & Kibber Village
After breakfast, drive through breathtaking landscapes to Key (Ki) Monastery, the largest and most famous monastery in Spiti. Perched atop a rugged hill at approx. 4166 m, this 1,000-year-old monastery is a treasure trove of Buddhist heritage, with ancient murals, sacred scriptures, and prayer halls echoing with the chants of resident monks. The monastery also offers panoramic views of the Spiti River Valley, making it a photographer’s paradise. Continue towards Kibber Village, one of the highest inhabited villages in the world at 4,270 meters. Known for its traditional whitewashed houses, barley fields, and stunning landscapes, Kibber was once an important trade route between Spiti and Tibet. Explore the village, visit the local monastery, and soak in the tranquillity of this remote Himalayan settlement.

Day 10
Drive to Langza & Trek to Hikkim and Komik – Descend to Kaza
Start your day with a scenic drive to Langza Village (Approx. 4400 m), one of the most picturesque hamlets in Spiti. Known as the “Fossil Village”, Langza is home to ancient marine fossils, a reminder of Spiti’s prehistoric past when it was submerged under the Tethys Sea. The village is dominated by a towering Golden Buddha Statue, overlooking the vast valley with snow-capped peaks in the background. From Langza, trek/walk (Approx. 04 hrs.) through Spiti’s high-altitude terrain, making your way to Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office (Approx. 4,440 m). Send a postcard from this remote outpost, a unique experience to share with loved ones. The trek continues to Komik, the highest motorable village in Asia (Approx. 4,587 m) to visit Komik Monastery (Tangyud Monastery), an ancient Buddhist monastery with stunning architecture and deep spiritual significance. Later begin your descent trek back to Kaza, traversing through stunning landscapes, barren mountains, and remote Himalayan beauty. Arrive in Kaza by evening, where you can unwind after a day filled with adventure and cultural exploration.

Day 11
Drive to Keylong via Kunzum Pass
Embark on a spectacular journey to Keylong (Approx. 07 to 08 hrs. drive), crossing the majestic Kunzum Pass (Approx. 4551 m), one of the highest motorable passes in the region. The drive offers breathtaking views of the snow-clad peaks, glacial streams, and rugged mountain landscapes that define the remote beauty of Spiti. At Kunzum Pass, stop to admire the Kunzum Mata Temple, where travellers seek blessings for a safe journey before descending into the Lahaul Valley. En route, take a brief photo stop at Bara-Shigri Glacier, the largest glacier in Himachal Pradesh, stretching over 10 km and feeding the Chandra River. This stunning natural wonder, surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks, presents a mesmerizing sight worth capturing. As the landscape transitions from the barren desert of Spiti to the lush green valleys of Lahaul, continue your drive towards Keylong, the administrative centre of the Lahaul region. Day 12
Excursion to Khardong Monastery & Hike to Shashur Gompa
After breakfast, set out for a day of spiritual and scenic exploration. Begin with a visit to Khardong Monastery, a serene Buddhist monastery perched above Keylong. Dating back to the 12th century, Khardong is one of the oldest monasteries in the Lahaul region, housing ancient Buddhist scriptures, thangkas, and prayer halls where monks engage in deep meditation. The tranquil setting, surrounded by towering peaks, makes it an ideal place for quiet reflection. From Khardong, continue towards Shashur Gompa, a striking 17th-century Drukpa monastery nestled amidst blue pine forests. A moderate uphill hike takes you to this beautiful monastery, offering panoramic views of the Bhaga Valley. Shashur is renowned for its towering thangka paintings, some over 15 feet tall, and vibrant wall murals depicting Buddhist deities and legends. After soaking in the peaceful energy of these sacred sites, hike back down and return to Keylong by evening. Day 13
Travel to Manali
After a restful morning in Keylong, set off on a scenic drive toward Manali (Approx. 06 to 07 hrs. drive), the vibrant hill station nestled in the Kullu Valley. The journey takes you through some of the most stunning landscapes of the Himalayas, with winding roads, dense forests, and river gorges. As you drive along the Beas River, enjoy the changing scenery – from the rugged, barren beauty of Lahaul to the lush greenery of Kullu. The drive takes you through the Rohtang Pass (Approx. 3978 m), a high-altitude mountain pass that offers spectacular views of snow-capped peaks and glaciers. Rohtang Pass is a popular stop for travellers to take in the breathtaking scenery and snap some photos.
As you descend into the Kullu Valley, the landscape transforms into a vibrant mix of apple orchards, pine forests, and terraced fields. On arrival in Manali, check into your hotel and spend rest of the entire day at leisure.

Manali

Begin with a visit to the Hadimba Temple, an ancient wooden pagoda-style temple dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, set amidst tall cedar forests. Known for its unique architecture and tranquil surroundings, it is one of Manali’s most revered sites. Next, head to the Manu Temple, dedicated to Sage Manu, believed to be the creator of the human race according to Hindu mythology. Perched in Old Manali, this temple offers stunning views of the valley and a peaceful retreat from the town’s hustle and bustle. Later, take a scenic drive to Naggar Castle, a magnificent 15th-century wooden castle that once served as the royal residence of the Kullu rulers. Upon arrival in the capital city, you will be welcomed by India Tours & Travels executive holding a placard in your name to greet you. After that, you will be assisted with a transfer to your hotel and check-in for a day use room until 2100 hrs. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax after your journey or explore the city’s lively markets, cafés, and historical landmarks at your own pace. Delhi, a fascinating blend of ancient heritage and modern vibrancy, offers countless experiences —from bustling bazaars and grand monuments to fine dining and contemporary culture. Later that evening, in accordance with your international flight schedule, you will be assisted with a departure transfer to Delhi International Airport to board your international flight to your next destination.
